I’ve been going here for 7 years and it’s one of favorite neighborhood spots to grab brunch or meet up with friends for coffee. Staff is always friendly and accomodating. Hashbrown bowl is to did for.

Edit: while I will continue to come regularly to the Coupe because it is the best option in the neighborhood and believe the food has improved, the service, which has always been marginal, has been terrible lately. Last time I had to basically wait on my own table, asking the front desk for anything I needed and praying that the server would return for the check. It is also strange that they hand you hot plates rather than placing them in front of you. On top of that, the attitude of staff is always poor and borderline rude - other than one gentleman who is friendly and helpful. I understand these are challenging times, but these are longstanding issues. Simple friendliness would go a long way. —————- The Coupe is absolute institution in the CoHi/ Park View neighborhood. We come here often for weekend brunch and really appreciate the simple/ casual vibe, affordable food, family friendly environment, and ease of popping in and getting a table. That said, I have over the years noticed some inconsistencies in the food and service. Recently, things have changed and the food is really delivering. The Coupe has gone from a convenient spot for decent food to one of the best casual restaurants in town. One thing I’d point out for improvement is the pancakes. I’d prefer them to be thicker and right now this is not the spot for pancakes. Otherwise the food is A+. Thanks for being the casual and affordable spot that is so rare in DC.
