We went for our 32nd anniversary and it was wonderful. Due to crazy DC street closures for a visiting dignitary we arrived late and frazzled. But we were welcomed so warmly by the young ladies at the front and by our server Joey and his team, that we instantly relaxed and enjoyed every moment. The food and wine were delicious. The short rib and oysters in particular were sublime and the wedge salad was our least favorite, very acidic. The fixed price meal came with a lot of little yummy and surprising extras. The team of servers worked seamlessly to provide an excellent experience and Joey’s enthusiasm was infectious! Although the food was of the highest caliber and the servers attentive, knowledgeable and professional, it never felt stuffy or pretentious. It the most unpretentious and joyous fine dining I’ve ever experienced actually and we felt very much like it was a true celebration. The only negative: The bathrooms were clean but run down. They could use a bit of a refresh.

Everything including the food service and vibe were good. Nothing was amazing/ phenomenal so it’s a 4 not a 5. We couldn’t have the 4 course meal since it’s family stuff but tried the focaccia, crudo, beetroot ravioli, branzino and ribeye followed by the chocolate mousse dessert. The ravioli was probably my favourites and really worth the price. The rest seemed a bit overpriced.
