A small hidden local snack bar across the road from the Porto's train station and bus stops. There are only a couple of tables, but because it's not a major tourist destination (thank god), it's usually not a problem to get a space. And where else to try a Porto's infamous francesinha than in an authentic spot like this? A very helpful lady behind the counter helped me choose the original one and suggested a draft beer to go with it (don't worry, it wasn't a Heineken). And of course, it was a bomb! You get a really good food in a home-made quality, decent beer, relaxed and friendly atmosphere and all that for fair non-tourist prices. Just be prepared to pay in cash. It's not a 5* restaurant, but it also doesn't try to be - you come here to experience the real everyday Porto. And it's exactly what you would expect: Great!

Wonderful little place I found while waiting for my bus at the nearby station. Waitress was very friendly and patient with me, and my francesinha was one of the best I’ve had during my stay in Porto. Price point is very good as well! No better place to stop by for a quick bite if you’re waiting a few hours for your transport to arrive!
