The food at Players Cheetham Hill is very good and really represents itself well — no complaints about the quality. However, the staff are letting the place down. Almost every time I’ve visited, they are distracted — either on the phone, chatting with each other, with the kitchen staff, or with friends. They speak in their own language while customers are waiting, which comes across as unprofessional. At the very least, when customers are present, the focus should be on service. Another recurring issue is food temperature. A few times, the food has been served not properly warm. While they will reheat it if you ask, it should be served hot and fresh from the start without needing to mention it. All sales and reputation depend heavily on staff. The food itself is great, but the staff and customer service urgently need training. Otherwise, they are letting the franchise down and pushing customers away.
