Never judge a book by its cover, just because this restaurant doesn’t look all glitz and glamour from the outside doesn’t mean you won’t get an exceptional meal! I wanted to start off with a negative. We booked a table for the start of service which wasn’t a problem but the food was constant, we didn’t get a chance to have the grazing plate put on the table before our starters came. Within five minutes our main course had arrived then less than 10 minutes after that was taken away desert was brought out. The portions are very generous and guests need some time between courses. A meal should be a marathon not a sprint! This is my only negative so a note to the staff would be for early tables give your guests times between courses and don’t be so hasty. Back onto the positives, there was too much choice on the menu (I see this as a positive) and the quality of the food was outstanding! The portion sizes were very generous (I like this too) and although it wasn’t cheap I felt like the meal was deserving of the price. The staff were very attentive also. Walking into here was like going back 10/20 years but to me it’s another thing that makes this place stand out from everywhere else. It gets busy so make sure you book a table in advance. Will definitely come back here again but we will book a table for later next time.

First time visiting and loved it. Quirky with a 70s/80s feel but beautifully set tables and silver service that you don't often get these days. It was really nice to have vegetables served individually from silver platters rather than dishes just dumped in the middle of the table. Took a star off service because I felt the wine waiter was sloppy. Great menu and plenty of GF options for me. I had queenies (small scallops) to start followed by calves liver and onions, which I hadn't had for ages but had a recent notion, so it was fortuitous that it was on the menu. I can't wait to go back.
