From the moment you walk into this cosy restaurant in Primrose Hill you feel the warmth and welcoming atmosphere. We sat in the front of the restaurant which has a beautiful big window and gives almost a terrace feel. The staff are so kind, charming and polite and seem to really care that the customers are looked after. I noticed everyone who came in was greeted warmly and also the staff were so attentive when there was a minor issue at the next door table and this seemed to be quickly resolved. The food tasted as good as it looked - it was all beautifully presented, the ricotta filled courgette flower was incredible (I am still dreaming about it)! The pasta was obviously freshly made and the chicken seemed like a huge portion but it was cooked so perfectly I was completely shocked that I had managed to eat it all! We shared a Tiramasu (we had really had enough but just couldn't resist!), it was such a far cry from the usual soggy tasteless mess you can get and was the perfect finish to a pretty perfect meal. We had a lovely crisp prosecco (I think all the wines are organic) to start and then a couple of glasses of amazing Italian red with our mains, the staff are really helpful and seem to understand their wines so I was very happy to go by their recommendations. I will definitely be going again and will be recommending friends to go - especially my foodie friends!

Another wonderful evening at Lume. I’m not prone to reviews, but I do feel sincere joy every time I visit here. Giuseppe and his team always take great care to ensure we have a splendid experience. His wine selection is on point, the menu is carefully curated and it feels like dining with friends and family whenever we visit (maybe because that’s a lot 😂). Lume is a firm fixture in the neighbhourhood and an inviting space for any kind of gathering (and a stellar first date spot) Bravo 👏
