A regular fave for us popping down from Kilburn. And a great halfway point to meet friends from Notting Hill. A true gem in atmosphere and splendid isolation from the hectic energy of Chamberlayne/Kensal/Queens Park/Kilburn with it being an island of old world Italian charm from the moment you see it from a distance. Once inside it only gets better as the hum of energy carries you back to Italy at its best. Delicious and humble food made very well. Only downside is the portion size relative to the price points, which tend to be more typical of finer dining establishments of Notting Hill/Soho or even Mayfair, so for a local restaurant it was a bit surprising to see such high prices relative to portion sizes. Of course it's always better to go for quality over quantity but the pricing still feels a bit steep for a more casually oriented spot.

I’ve given this place so many chances but every time it disappoints tbh. I am curious as to whether since it became popular post pandemic and went viral on social media if they have watered things down. The food is 5/10x portions are tiny, overpriced and lack flavour.

A lovely local restaurant. The food is made simply and perfectly with the best ingredients, the service is friendly, the staff really know and care about the food and wine. My only tiny disappointment was the side salad, which was very ordinary but that didn't ruin a truly lovely evening! Highly recommended and try the artichoke the cannelini garlic bean dip was fantastic.
