What a lovely bakery and such kind staff! I was served earlier today by a lovely barista named Liya who took the time to recommend me a good pastry (I ended up going for the cinnamon bun). What a polite and helpful young lady, I will definitely be returning to this Gails :)

My husband went to buy some pastries at this shop. He was out with our 1.5 year old grandchild and we’re headed for the playground. At checkout, my husband realized that he had left all his credit cards at our temporary accommodation but he had cash. The shop does not handle cash…. So my husband concluded that this was a failed mission as he could not pay for the pastries. But the staff were very kind and said he could take the pastries without payment! Two days later, I accompanied my husband to The Village with the sole intention of going to the Gail’s shop to make payment for the pastries. The staff were really nice about it and reiterated that the pastries were a gift and they were not going to take any payment from us. What a lovely establishment this is and such a heart warming experience this was. We cannot stop sharing this experience with our family and friends and we hope to retell the story to our grandson when he grows up. Thank you Gail’s at The Village, Walthamstow🙏🏽🙏🏽
