So you go to order for their 2 for 1 cocktail and get asked if you can wait a few minutes as they have a keg delivery. Of course… but when you go back up you’re told, sorry deals now off. Harry, who says he’s in charge, tells me I’m making a big deal out of an £8 extra charge for being helpful. Reluctantly called the manager, who at least apologised. Really poor. How to reward a helpful customer? ***** In reply to the dishonest and frankly ridiculous reply from Management, which sadly affirms why staff aren't interested in customer service and disputes their suggestion of "making a great experience for all." 1) From the review, it's clear I said I wanted the 2 for 1 deal... and then got asked to wait, so to look to "clarify what happened" and then completely contradict it, indicates a stubborn determination to blame the customer. 2) I did in fact ask "could you process the order, let me pay and then bring over the drinks when done with the delivery" so I could go back and drink with my friends, not stand around on the bar waiting. The staff just asked me to wait, which I did. It ended up being to my detriment. 3) I'm pleased that you don't accept rudeness or shouting towards your staff, that is how it should be. Maybe check the CCTV before you start making such dishonest allegations. There was no shouting, there was no rudeness. Plus try to remember this person you are accusing of being rude, was the one who was polite and accommodating to your business circumstance.. I simply asked them to see how they could accommodate the circumstance they created. When that was challenging, I asked who was in charge, as I pointed out it was unfair that I was accommodating and then punished. As Harry, was happy to tell me not to make such a big deal out of £8, which in of itself shows who was being rude, it further suggests that providing a great experience is low on his agenda. That management didn't recognise this in the call, unless Harry presented the circumstances dishonestly, further confirms that no effort to provide a great experience was followed through. 4) You clearly aren't happy to resolve issues fairly, as I was offered nothing, even after management were called. There is any number of ways to have made an offer to a customer. The pub choose none and to put the blame on the customer and then instead of writing apologising and saying we could and should have done better. That telling you £8 is not a big deal, you decide to allege poor behaviour and shouting from your customer, which I have a dozen people to refute should it be necessary.

Fabulous 2-for-1 cocktails on Saturdays. Great place for families, as they’ve got games tables and board games. Lots of cosy places to sit.
