Wife and have had great experiences at Curzon in Kingston but the Soho venue left us disappointed. We don't go to the cinema often so when we do we are happy to spend more. We paid £18 a ticket. Seats are very comfortable and there's plenty of space to stretch out and the venue is nice. But the sound was poor, sounds kinda muffled I could easily hear eveyone eating over the sound. The room was quite hot, not air conditioned which while not unbearable is quite uncomfortable. Some of the staff seem disinterested. In the Kingston venue you can order food and drink to your seat which is super nice. That kind of service is a big plus why we'd want to pay a higher ticket rate. Kitchen was not open at 12am when we had our viewing. The place IS fine but for the higher ticket cost and without the added percs and comforts I'd suggest going to Odeon or watch at home.

Nice cinema and really lovely staff. However, there was a rodent issue. We were in screen 2 (I was 10E, next to the wall) and a rat climbed up the wall and jumped onto the seat in front of me. I freaked out a bit and moved away to another seat. My boyfriend did not want to leave or move (I think the building would have to be on fire for him to move out of a comfy chair) but he told me afterwards that the rat came and went a few times before it got too close to him and he shooed it away. It did spoil my time there as I was worried about more rats being around my feet. My boyfriend did not mind though and we did stay until the end of the film. I let the lady outside the screen know as I left and she apologised, but it was not her fault. Rats are everywhere in cities and I suppose a basement cinema is a perfect home for rodents but it is an issue that needs addressing if possible (humanely - I'd rather sit with the mice and rats then have them die awfully in glue traps).
