I booked in on the first trip of the morning. There are no warnings about photos or video but if one of the staff thinks your captured their face they go off. One bloke was "delete it delete it delete it". That behaviour soured the experience for me. It's fine to control photos and video but please post restrictions in the premise and website to avoid an unfriendly experience. The train itself is pretty cool. They do actually drive it so it's not just an amusement ride. There's good interpretation. The exhibits are good and many are interactive. I did enjoy the signalling / train control simulator. For future visitors you can make photos and video of people in your party and all the exhibits including the train but you have to carefully exclude the staff. I work on a tourist railway myself and am in thousands of photos and video. Without that unfriendly aspect I would give the place a 5 but with it 3. To improve make the restrictions known and if you think there's video ask for it to be edited. To avoid a scene I deleted a ten minute video that I don't think the bloke was even in. I then had to spend time capturing it again.

Great experience with my family. I got there just before 10am and would suggest to go on the Royal Mail ride and well as the postal play area for the kids. You get a whole insite on how the postal system evolved and would suggest you go at least once.
