We had a great time in here on Saturday Night for my sisters engagement party. It was lovely inside, perfect size for a party with children because there aren’t too many places for them to run and hide. I didn’t get to try a lot of the food but what I did was lovely. Annoyances would be, music was absolutely blaring and we could barely hear each other shouting and the alcohol seemed to be smaller measures or very weak. Was around £8 for a tiny little bottle of cola and a glass of orange juice, so not the cheapest. We also got parked right outside which was good. Staff at the Bar were very efficient and there was never a long wait. Overall lovely place!

I went to Roots as part of a hen party last month and the staff went above and beyond to make it a special experience. There was a miscommunication when booking our table where we thought there would be a live musician but we were told that wasn't the case when we arrived. The manager saw that we were disappointed and 30 minutes later, he came back up to us and told us that he'd managed to get a musician to come in at the last minute so we could have the live music we had expected. We were clearly having a great time regardless and had moved past our temporary disappointment, so this gesture was even more impressive as they clearly wanted to give us the experience we expected. BUT THEY DIDN'T STOP THERE! A man popped up at our table asking if we wanted to see a card trick and we were then entertained for 30 minutes with some amazing magic tricks with our own personal MAGICIAN! I asked the magician if he was just randomly here and decided to entertain a hen party (because it was extremely random) and he said that he knew the manager at the bar and they had called to ask if he could come do some tricks for us for a bit. From the musician to the magician and all the great drinks and service in between, the staff at Roots went above and beyond to make this a great experience. 10/10 recommend for a great drink, cool atmosphere, and amazing customer service!
