We zijn hier pauzeren na een rustige wandeling door het natuurgebied de Gentbrugse Meersen. Het bananenijs was chemisch van smaak, de banaan van de banana split was hard. De service en sfeer waren matig. We hebben boer Janssens niet tegengekomen.

While I was enjoying the very delicious meal, an old man around 80 years old came inside, he was wearing very nice clothes, the lady behind the bar brought him directly his Orval. This cafe gives you the feeling that it is a very local cafe, all people know each other, nice and gentle welcoming from the lady behind the bar, delicious food and great location besides the wood. To come back to the old man and his impressive clothes, I think one day, maybe a long time ago the people used to come to this event as a fancy place, not like today when I go simply with my hiking clothes. I felt really that the time was changing so fast on several dimensions in this life, but luckly he forgot this cafe!
