I stopped in Katie’s Claddagh Cottage after passing by one day. The visit was lovely and quite informative. It was great seeing an old cottage, which is so beautifully cared for and maintained to preserve the space.

This was one of my best experiences in Galway. The cottage is a bit hidden and I found it by chance. There were only two other tourists there and the lady (I assume that was Katie) working there. I basically got a private tour through the cottage. Since she herself used to live in a cottage like this during her childhood, she had lots of stories to tell from her own experience. She was also baking scones and the whole cottage smelled really nice. (Also, in case you are reading this, Katie: Thank you so much for recommending me the circle if life gardens. After looking around a bit, I found it and it was as peaceful and beautiful as you had described it. I enjoyed it immensely!)

A Puopolo

This stop was one of our highlights from our Ireland trip. A short walk away from the shops and restaurants was this cultural oasis with the most welcoming atmosphere and hosts. We very much enjoyed the tea, homemade scones, historical knowledge, artistic shopping opportunity, and mostly, the friendly conversation. Thank you Mike for a wonderful afternoon on the fly, and help with finding and returning my phone!!
