You’re greeted at the gate, the staff are genuinely friendly, and the whole place feels like it’s run by people who care deeply about the club and the community. The ground itself is compact but full of personality. Great views from every angle, clean facilities (including unisex toilets), and a proper mix of seating and standing areas. There’s a strong local vibe—food and drink are sourced from nearby suppliers, with craft beers and excellent burgers that beat most stadium fare. Atmosphere-wise, it’s brilliant. Whether it’s the men’s or women’s team playing, the crowd is lively but respectful, and you’ll often find live music or community events happening alongside the match. Dogs are welcome too, which adds to the laid-back feel. Lewes FC is also known for its progressive values—equal pay for men’s and women’s teams, fan ownership, and a real push for inclusivity.
