Cannot recommend this amazing restaurant enough. The food is exquisite, clearly created with love and genius!! Staff are lovely and great atmosphere on long wooden tables in the barn-like hall. We will be back - totally loved it!!

We had our recent wedding at the Free Company and it was the best day ever! The venue itself is such a beautiful setting; rustic, organic and cosy. The fields and gardens looked absolutely amazing and were so colourful in August. It meant we were spoilt for choice for photo spots! The staff are all so lovely and friendly and they were really accommodating of any requests we made. The food was absolutely delicious and all our guests were raving about it. We loved the casual, friendly atmosphere that the 2 long dining tables created. In the evening, the firepit was a lovely gathering place for anyone who needed a break from the dancefloor. The newer addition of extra toilets near the dining room is great and there are now plenty for a larger wedding like ours (125 guests). Thank you Free Co. for such a fantastic wedding day!

Highlights: - Beautifully curated menu and dining experience - Wonderful selection of dishes - Local produce and top quality ingredients - Friendly and prompt service - An experience that you won't forget From start to finish, the experience was wonderful. The menu is beautifully curated, with a fantastic selection of seasonal dishes showcasing local produce and top-quality ingredients. It’s the kind of menu you want to linger over, choosing a few plates to share and enjoy with friends. We began with soft drinks each one a burst of flavour and creativity. The charcuterie board was excellent, especially the speck, paired with a thoughtful selection of pickles. The Porchetta was a real highlight; as an Italian, I can say it was outstanding, herbs and ingredients used with such skill. Even the Yorkshire pudding, which I’m usually not a fan of, won me over. The hogget was another standout dish, cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. The service was friendly, attentive, and prompt, adding to the relaxed yet special atmosphere. And the location itself is idyllic, truly a place to savour both food and setting. This is not just a meal, it’s an experience you won’t forget. Wholeheartedly recommended.
