Both Callum and Nic were incredible hosts that added tremendous value to our late lunch. We ordered the Steak Tartare and Tomato and Corgette Tagine - they were both so good we decided to order a second tartare for “dessert”. Overall a wonderful experience that brought warmth, satisfaction, and hospitality to our stay in Edinburgh. 10/10 would recommend!

We dined here for our last night in Edinburgh. We had been to the Chester location for NYE a couple years ago and had such a lovely time that we thought it'd be nice to dine at Cote again. Our server was very friendly. They must've been short-staffed because she had WAY too many tables and seemed to be running around like crazy. We ordered olives and Camembert Brulee to start with GF and Regular bread. Both were tasty. For our mains, my husband had the Salmon GF which he said was good. I ordered the Pork Belly. It was cooked nicely but I personally didn't care for the cabbage slaw. I also felt it needed more au jus. I ended up eating the meat with the side of au gratin potatoes. I feel it went much better with the Pork. For dessert, he had the Chocolate Mousse. It was delicious. I ordered the Lemongrass & Lime Leaf Crème Brûlée. Wow, the basil was way too overpowering. It felt strange that I was eating a dessert. My husband tasted it and also agreed that it was too strong. I only had a few bites and stopped. Overall, it wasn't the best meal. It was ok. But definitely not on our top choices of places we dined at on our vacation.
