I found the waitress loud and overwhelming. We ordered a bottle of white wine which came at room temperature. I enjoyed my French onion soup, but the cheese was like chewing gum and impossible to swallow. I mentioned this to the waiter who didn’t have an apology. If you want bread with your soup, you have to pay for it! After living in France and Switzerland who automatically put bread on the table, I find this very frustrating, especially as we’re eating in a hotel. I had crab pasta for my main course which was tasty but severely lacking in crab. The waiter offered something else to eat which wasn’t feasible as my friend had finished her food and I would be eating on my own. There was no reduction on the bill and I left the restaurant feeling hungry and very dissatisfied. I wouldn’t want to eat there again. Muriel

Fringe lunch to get our of the madness, lovely service and good table. We had a small issue with the oysters and this was quickly resolved.
