Not been in a while until recently and have been twice. The service was great. The main courses have been beautiful. I have to say that the deserts on both recent occasions let them down. I got an Eaton mess, it came in a jam jar and was just a jar of squirty cream with about 4 raspberries and about 4 pieces of meringue. You would have thought a child had made it. When I put my spoon in it, it deflated. Not good. My next experience was the trifle, I thought they couldn't get that wrong but the bowl had a very small amount of jelly with sponge in it. Could not taste any sherry. That was topped with runny custard from a carton then that was topped with squirty cream. I did not get the hearty trifle I expected. I would like to think the hot deserts would be better. This post is meant to be constructive and not to disrespect the restaurant. I will go back.

Lovely, friendly restaurant with fantastic food! Very generous portions with a varied and extensive menu. In a party of four, we all chose different meals, all of which were cooked freshly and absolutely delicious! We felt very welcomed and looked after by all the staff there. Will definitely be back!
