It's ok, it's a Wetherspoons. Not enough staff, have to clear your only table and wipe it before sitting down. App didn't work for ordering at table but otherwise.....good old Spoons.

It being a bank Holiday on the day of our visit, we were expecting the city to be busy. Our assumptions were correct. All open areas within the city were paraded with classic cars. Even Elvet and Framwellgate Bridges were adorned with a variety of classic car makes. MG, Jaguar, Ford and even a notable Alvis were in attendance. The eateries around the city were overflowing. We ventured round to Walkergate passing St Cuthbert's sculpture. Nice to see history and modern architecture side by side. The Bishop's Mill is tucked away in a corner of Walkergate. It doesn't look very large from the outside. What a surprise when you go down the stairs and enter the building properly. It is massive. We soon found a seat and very quickly decided what we wanted. Remembering our table number, I ordered at the bar. As usual the meals are always keenly priced, as is the Wetherspoon way. Our drinks were prepared at the bar. It wasn't very long before the meals were delivered to our table. The staff were very friendly and attentive to our sauce needs. The meals were very tasty indeed. Being suitably refreshed we continued with our visit. This was after a visit to the Restroom. The Restroom was equally massive and on the same floor. It was very clean also. We know where to visit for food on our next visit. Nice one The Bishop's Mill.
