A fantastic local gem – clean, safe, and perfect for all ages! Coxhoe Park is hands down one of the best-kept community parks in County Durham. I’ve been visiting regularly with my kids and every time we go, we’re impressed by how clean, well-maintained, and welcoming the park is. The green spaces are tidy and well looked after, and there’s a real sense of pride from the local community. The children’s play area is brilliant – there’s a great mix of equipment for different age groups, from toddler-friendly swings and slides to climbing frames and adventure equipment for older kids. Everything is in excellent condition, which shows how much care and investment goes into the site. The skatepark is also a big hit with the older kids and teens. It adds a brilliant dynamic to the park and encourages young people to get outdoors and stay active. There are also plenty of benches, open grass areas for picnics or ball games, and some nice walking paths around the site. It feels like a safe and friendly place for families, dog walkers, and locals to relax. Hats off to the parish council and volunteers who help keep it so inviting. Highly recommend it if you’re in the area!

It was great. But the music was crap.!! Unlike last year's fireworks display. But it needs seats for disabled and elderly..It's a long time to stand about waiting for it to start. Then watch the display...
