About

The Pfund Dairy Shop is recognized in the Guinness Book of Records as the most beautiful trading pavilion in the world. This is largely due to the handcrafted neo-Renaissance tilework. You can observe it almost everywhere. The history of the shop dates back to 1879. It was then that Paul Pfund decided to organize the sale of milk in such a way that people could be confident about the origin of their purchase. Therefore, the process of cow milking and the subsequent sale of the resulting product took place right in the store, in front of the customer. In 1880, Paul Pfund was joined by his brother Friedrich. After that, the company came to be known as "Dresden Dairy Hof Pfund Brothers." The production gradually expanded its scale, and alongside it, the range of products increased. Now, from the store's counter, one could carry away not only milk but also cheeses, baby formulas, and condensed milk. Similar products are offered to customers now, though the store is under state supervision.
