Endlich wieder Ruhe im Kafi Seit Jahren geniesse ich die Stille hier – ein Cappuccino, ein Zimtgebäck und die NZZ. Am Samstag, 23. August, hatte ich jedoch den Eindruck, als wäre eine kleine Revolution im Gang: Zwei neue, nicht zu überhörende Serviceangestellte haben ihren Teil dazu beigetragen, die Ruhe im Lokal zu zerstören. Danke Wüscht – ich hoffe sehr, dass die gewohnte Ruhe noch lange erhalten bleibt.

We live nearby and are frequent client. We love the place and the food is great. However, recently our experience has been severely damaged by one person from the staff (blond woman with glasses). Unfortunately, this is the reason for my review. She is so rude and horrible - her replies are most condescendent, she never gives a bag to carry the items (when it is obvious you will need one, it's not about being ecofriendly), she 'forgets' the bread that comes with the menus (and when you ask for it, she gets annoyed)... and I could keep going...tbh it's mostly the rudeness that bothers us to the point we don't want to go there anymore. She shouldn't be facing the public if she intends to give such poor quality service. We understand one can have a bad day (or bad days, in plural) but today I just couldn't take it anymore... it is not personal to us, we have seen her do it with other people too. This morning she was training a couple of girls who just joined the team, and I feel so sorry for them. It is awful to see how she treats them and really, one can see the pain they are going through. It is really a pitty, such a good bakery losing clients over rude staff. Hope they do something about it. Of note, the other staff are wonderful (the guy, the blond tall girl, etc.), no complaints whatsoever. So if you have the bad luck to stumble upon her, don't let it ruin your day... Update as of August 2025: while the situation I described above lasted for months, this summer we have noted an improvement in the attitude of the workers, including the woman I referred to. We are happy to see that they take follow up and take action after complaints.
