The barista denied my order of a dirty matcha latte, supposedly due to company policy, which was not in place half a year ago. The only explanation I can come up with is that the customer should be coerced into buying a separate espresso. This is the first time ever that I encountered this policy, and it doesn't feel particularly accommodating. The lowest default tipping option on the card reader is 10%, which is more or less the typical tipping percentage in Switzerland. Usually I only choose the lowest default tip if I'm not entirely happy with the service, so this creates an uncomfortable situation.

Although it is self service and the staff is still not that friendly, the coffee is a really good specialty coffee and they have some of the best pastries I know, like pain au chocolat or croissant.
