Just WOW! we spent the weekend in Boroughbridge and stayed at the Grantham Arms, we were there for my birthday weekend as there were a couple of walks in the area we wanted to do. However on the Saturday morning I was up early (04:15) and decided to take my 7 month old Bull Terrier for a walk around Boroughbridge, and discovered plenty, I mean it wasn't open but loved the name and could see it was also dog friendly. So once the rest of the family was awake, we went for breakfast..... It was SO good, everyone's breakfast delivered at the same time, and everything looked amazing on the plate. The staff were super attentive but not overbearing....the stars of the show (for me) were (as crazy as it sounds) the toast and the tea! Don't get me wrong, it was all very nice indeed, but that toast had the best crunch and the absolute right thickness! You will not be disappointed here. The funny part was my family (wife, daughters x 2) are scared of wasps and when one came to see what we were having for breakfast I was able to catch it and kill it with the tea pots, tea cosy..... if it wasn't for that tea cosy who know the level of crazy our table would of gone.
