We stayed over the valentine's weekend with friends. Fantastic rooms, beautiful hotel, great facilities, dog friendly and great service from the team. We got to meet the Hotel Director who recommended places to visit and eat at while in York which were spot on. We will be back, thank you.

Stopped in for a drink while waiting for train, have visited before as well. The room is beautiful and comfortable, and both times I've stopped in without a reservation with no problems. The service is good, from pleasant staff. The tea was fine, gin and tonic fine, the hot chocolate was the worst hot chocolate I've had that didn't come from a vending machine in the 90s. Seemed to have been made up with powder and water, my friend didn't even finish hers. Priced over the cost of a latte, and really really not worth it, especially in York where you can find outstanding hot chocolate in local cafes.
