This establishment is famous for its desserts, which were once served at the royal table. "Demel" used to serve as a dessert supplier for the imperial nobility! Today, just as in the past, the desserts here are made in strict accordance with the techniques of that time. You can taste the "Sacher" torte or berry baskets, the same ones Emperor Franz Joseph relished several centuries ago! A lovely old fashioned Cafe in the middle of Vienna. Maybe a little touristy and very busy - we had to queue for about 20 minutes but once inside service was good and the cakes were fantastic. Has the Kaiserschmarrn and the sachertorte.

Siamo arrivati alle ore 16 circa non c'era tanta gente in fila per l'asapporto il posto a sedere l'abbiamo trovato subito Abbiamo preso la SACHER torte e strudel di mele con la crema inglese. La SACHER buona non posso dire altro perché non ne ho assaggiate altre da potere fare il confronto . Ma lo strudel di mele ......tanta roba! Servizio veloce e competente. Aggiornamento il caffè Demel ha una sua succursale sita in Stephansplatz, cioè nella piazza della cattedrale di santo Stefano.
