Merece la pena visitarla sobre todo cuando se acerca la romería

Iglesia excavada en la roca frente a Ronda con magníficas vistas de la ciudad. Tiene tres cuerpos, una cripta y otras cuevas auxiliares. Es un lugar privilegiado y mágico. Tal vez sea más antigua que la fecha en que la dotan, según dicen del Siglo IX, pero es posible que sea de época Arriana. Muy bien cuidada. Lastima que este cerrada. La amabilidad del hermano mayor de la hermandad suple ese problema, es tan generoso que si le llamas por teléfono gustosamente te enseña y explica las diferentes dependencias.

Desde este emplazamiento podrás contemplar toda la dimensión del tajo de Ronda, el Puente Nuevo y parte de la ciudad y del casco Histórico. Además aparcando el coche en las proximidades se disfruta de un agradable paseo gozando de la naturaleza del entorno. La ermita está cerrada y no hay acceso salvo en la fecha de la romería, en Junio.
