Das Gebäude ist schon aus der Ferne ein "Hingucker", ein absolutes architektonisches Meisterwerk! Ganz besonders beeindruckend ist der Blick auf die Stadt durch die riesigen Glasscheiben in der 12. Etage. Interessant auch die Ausstelllung zum Architekten mit Modellen seiner Arbeiten sowie Schriftstücken und persönlichen Gegenständen, sogar seinem Piano mit einem Foto des "Pianisten" aus Kindertagen. Im Erdgeschiss befindet sich eine kleine Cafeteria, eine Garderobe und Schließfächer zur Aufbewahrung von Mänteln und Taschen. Der Besuch der Bibliothek ist kostenlos. Es gibt eine Straßenbahnhaltestelle direkt davor.
