In the exhibition of the Museum of Communism in Prague, Czech historians have endeavored to depict the period from 1949 to 1989, when Czechia was among the states of the so-called "socialist bloc". It is intended for both tourists and the Czech youth who did not experience this period. The exhibition is quite controversial - some will find it interesting to visit the socialist past, while others might say that they can see something similar at home. At the same time, everyone agrees on one thing: the souvenirs sold at the entrance truly deserve attention, although they are priced "for tourists".

The exhibition is housed in three halls. The first displays "idealistic communism". Here, there are many statues, busts of V.I. Lenin and other communist figures, even an entire school class with textbooks from that era and propaganda posters. The second hall reveals the harsh realities of that time - empty shelves, military, police, and border patrol corners, and even a torture chamber. The third hall portrays the events of the Velvet Revolution.
