Über

Père Lachaise Cemetery is one of the most popular burial places in Paris. Its fame comes from its long and interesting history, as well as the names of the people who have found their final resting place here. From the time it was founded, the site was quite secluded. Under Louis XIV, it was a Jesuit order garden, and monarchs came here for private negotiations and solitary walks. At the beginning of the 19th century, the city authorities purchased the site and established the cemetery. Initially, the place's popularity was artificially boosted by transferring the remains of famous individuals (such as Molière, La Fontaine, etc.). Then, burying only the most distinguished French figures from politics, science, and the arts here became the norm.

규모가 꽤 큰 데다가 유명인들의 무덤이 여기저기 흩어져 있어 입구쪽 묘지부터 시작해서 출구쪽 묘지로 나오는 것이 효과적인 동선입니다. 입구는 Philippe Auguste역 쪽이고 출구는 반대쪽입니다 아래 순서는 입구에서 시작해 크게 U자형으로 동선을 그리고 반대편 출구로 나가는 동선입니다. 출구쪽에는 메트로가 없으니 메트로를 타실 분들은 입구쪽으로 나오셔야겠네요 1. 피아니스트 쇼팽(폴란드 사람이라 심장만 따로 고향 폴란드 성당에) 2. 밴드 도어즈의 싱어 짐모리슨(올리버 스톤의 도어즈 참고) 3. 샹송의 여왕 에디트 피아프(사랑의 찬가, 장미빛인생 유튜브에서 들어보세요) 4. 고엽을 부른 이브 몽땅(마릴린 몬로와 바람피운 배우로도 유명) 5. 행복한 왕자를 쓴 영국의 소설가 오스카 와일드 추가로 미라보 다리라는 유명한 시를 쓴 기욤 아폴리네르. 목이 긴 여인 그림으로 유명한 모딜리아니의 무덤까지 들으시면 될 것 같네요. 개인적으로는 빅토르 위고의 레미제라블을 정말 좋아하는데 이곳에는 실제 시민군 병사들을 기리는 벽이 있습니다. 1871년 파리코뮌을 끝까지 지키다가 이곳 남동쪽 울타리에서 총살당한 147명의 시민군 병사들을 기리는 벽입니다. 예전에 민노당 노회찬님이 여기를 방문해서 저도 알게되었지요) AUX MORTS DE LA COMMNE 21-28 Mai 1871코뮌의 죽은 이들에게(1871.5.21.~28) 이라고 씌여져 있습니다. 우리나라로 말하면 1980년 광주 시민군의 희생을 추모하는 곳입니다
