Thanks so much to the fabulous waitress who looked after our upstairs group so well on Saturday night! She was very careful to advise which dishes were suitable for my friend with lactose intolerance. Excellent food- proper Spanish dishes and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it, thanks very much

We were wandering up the Cowley Road looking for somewhere to eat in a pleasant summer's evening. Walking past Arbequina we were immediately attracted by the relaxed atmosphere and the excellent looking food. We were lucky to get a table outside as a couple were just leaving. The terrace tables are quite well set back from the busy Cowley Road and the vibe was friendly and fun. Our expectations for a good meal were surpassed: the food was delicious as were the beer and the Basque cider (the pouring of which was elegantly demonstrated by the owner). The service was friendly and efficient. The tapas were original and varied: we had four dishes between the two of us, followed by two (shared) desserts. It was not cheap but really good quality. We were delighted to hear that they are planning to open a branch in the Covered Market.Highly recommended!
