As authentic as it can get in Europe, better than Chinese food in Germany anyway. The congee and noodle were pretty good, fried tofu a bit too dry. Good price for a meal.

Teochew lo mein at One Rice. I rarely have teochew food because its quite fatty with pork belly, pigs ears etc. Only went because of the lo mein. If you are new to Teochew food, you are better off getting the deal for 8.90 but I chose two meats which wasn't in the deal as I wanted to try the beef and pork trotters. Clearly the trotters were done right, soft and gelatinous. The texture of the beef was a bit dry like it had been braised for days. The wonton style noodles came in a promising dark sauce. Unfortunately it was a bit sweet for my liking, otherwise heaven but I would probably have it again. Portions are on the small side though and I did not get the soup that other people received. Overall a bit expensive especially for a niche cuisine but they probably have regular customers who are home sick.

We ordered crab congee, pork knuckle rice, pig ears, and taro. The crab congee was rich in flavor, the pork knuckle melted in your mouth, and the taro was fragrant but not greasy. Even if we ordered it casually, it was well worth the visit and we'll definitely be back.
