We booked the karaoke booth for a hen party, we were directed to the room which was fine however no instructions were provided on how to use it or anything. The servers were more bothered about plying us with drinks and shots, which we tried to turn down but were made to feel like we had to by the shot sellers. We figured out what to do and then once we got into it we were interrupted multiple times by members of staff opening the door either trying to sell us more drinks or just to open the door peer in and walk out again - all of which completely interrupted the flow and made us quite self conscious so couldn’t enjoy it thoroughly. At the end, a member of staff came in immediately as the last song finished demanding the room back and we felt incredibly rushed, the attitude of the staff at this point was exceptionally rude, especially considering the timer had run out 5 seconds before this so it wasn’t like we were just hanging around, we’d only just put the mics down and were visibly picking up our stuff when she came in. Don’t get me wrong, we made the best of it but probably wouldn’t go back to that particular karaoke booth as it certainly didn’t feel private with all the interruptions.
