Our local in Liverpool when we are here - love it

I've not been in here for quite a few years but we were walking past and they had numerous drink offers advertised outside so we thought we'd try it out. It looks the same outside as it has done for many years but the interior has had a significant refurbishment and to me seems like a great improvement in the pub. They currently seem to have a few offers ongoing for a drinks while we were there. The bit I really like though was that the two pool tables were free of charge and we took advantage of that and had a few games. They have a reasonable range of beers and had two real ales on offer. Service was quick and attentive. There was plenty of seating and tables available and it was quite quiet during the afternoon but I'd imagine it would be very busy of an evening.
