Very small pub broken up into 4 rooms. 6 cask beers, with Landlord, Tetleys and Jarl and a dark beer or two always on. Beer quality is excellent, Jarl is probably the best pale beer regularly available in Liverpool. Small selection of good quality pies available plus the usual salty bar snackage. Plenty of seats outside in boallarded road. Not suitable for large groups if you want to drink indoors. Has been in every edition of the CAMRA Good Beer Guide (5 pubs in Britain have done this, no other one North of Cambridge), not that they like to talk about it.

Lovely cosy pub with two snugs, carpeted rooms, great real ales, including a fabulous stout and friendly staff. Proper boozer for good conversation.
