Über

Like most of the ancient landmarks of the city, the Cathedral of Saint James was built in the first half of the 18th century and represents the Baroque architectural style. The cathedral is considered the main Catholic church of the city and has a rich history.

Already in the 12th century, the church had a medieval appearance, and the building was equipped with fortified walls, but even they did not withstand an earthquake, after which the temple was rebuilt. Having acquired a new look, the cathedral became the richest and most luxurious building in the city. Only in the year 2000 was a chapel added, and some individual elements were restored. The temple is of great value to European culture and religion and is also a masterwork of world art in painting and sculpture.

Katedra św. Jakuba w Innsbrucku to barokowa świątynia z XVIII wieku, znana z bogato zdobionego wnętrza i dwóch masywnych wież. Jej największym skarbem jest cudowny obraz „Madonna z Dzieciątkiem” autorstwa Lucasa Cranacha Starszego. Wnętrze zachwyca freskami Cosmasa Damiana Asama oraz okazałym ołtarzem głównym. Katedra jest również miejscem spoczynku arcyksięcia Maksymiliana III Habsburga, Wielkiego Mistrza Zakonu Krzyżackiego.

Der Dom ist recht klein. Dafür ist er seht schön. EINEN Euro für eine Stunde fotografieren ist mir neu, aber warum nicht. Dafür stehen Ticketautomaten bereit. Der Unterhalt kostet auch viel Geld. Ein Besuch lohnt sich. Der Altar strahlt und die Deckenbilder sind schön.
