great cafe to work & hang out in — finally found a good salad and latte!

Nice clean and tasty breakfast place in an otherwise culinary wasteland (Geneva’s Cornavin station). The egg royal (yes it’s one poached egg) was perfectly cooked and the salmon tasted fresh. The hollandaise was also perfectly portioned and tasty (I recommend a splash of Tabasco, you’re welcome). The bread was a crusty sourdough which actually works. However, the cannelé was just minuscule and looked sad in its tiny plate. It was tasty nonetheless and the texture is on point. The flat white was exactly what you would expect. Service is surprisingly courteous and speedy for this kind of busy location right by the city’s main train station. My only concern is that if you’re traveling alone, leaving your luggage at your table to pickup your drink at the counter may be challenging since the waiters only deliver food to your table (and it is a hectic busy area). Definitely a solid food option in an otherwise unappealing area.

Generous portions and tasted good. Viva Canada was a little sweet because of the balsamic vinegar. The soft boiled eggs and bacon were nice though.
