The Phoenix Monument in Dublin
Über
The Phoenix Monument, an exquisite historic landmark in Dublin, sits gracefully against the backdrop of lush greenery and vibrant blooms. Situated at the heart of a park, it stands amidst prestigious neighbors - the Irish presidential residence and the US ambassador's house. This monument is ideal for family visits, with enchanting surprises such as deer gracefully leaping across pathways. Capture picturesque moments as nature provides a vibrant canvas throughout the seasons. For those who crave more history, the towering Wellington Monument looms at the park's southeast, gazing over Kilmainham and the meandering River Liffey. A perfect blend of tranquility and allure awaits.

Beautiful well maintained natural park inside of Dublin. The roundabout where the Monument is something I have never seen there's embassies and government buildings around it. Beautiful walk we sat and watched the our surroundings and slow moving cars go by whilst having our snack. Such a relaxing place. You see lots of people running/jogging.

A MUST SEE if you're visiting Ireland & want to learn about the history of the park, great day out.

The Phoenix Monument is located in the middle of Phoenix Park. It is a Corinthian column with a Phoenix mounted at the top. It was built by Lord Chesterfield in 1747, and the monument is the oldest part of the park. It is considered to be a very important part of the park's history. Just a fun fact, there are also many deer that call the park home. I highly recommend a visit to the Phoenix Monument in Phoenix Park if you visit Dublin, Ireland.
