The Chain Bridge in Budapest could easily be mistaken for the famous Brooklyn Bridge if it weren't for the ancient buildings of the Hungarian capital at its extremities. The bridge is 380 meters long, and its image is often found on mugs and other souvenir items that tourists love so much.

The logical continuation of the Hungarian "wonder" is the Buda Tunnel through the eponymous mountain. Surprisingly, the length of the tunnel is almost equal to that of the bridge. Locals joke that during heavy downpour, it could easily be hidden in the tunnel. Every year on November 20th, Hungarians celebrate the birthday of the Chain Bridge, and in the evenings, the area is bustling with many guests and city residents.

Very beautiful landmark.

Vytautas Černiauskas (Kukumbalis)

Pasakiško grožio tiltas jungiantis Budą ir Peštą. Tilto projektą sukūrė britų inžinierius Williamas Clarkas, o statybos darbams vadovavo Adamas Clarkas. Statyba truko nuo 1840 m. iki 1849 m. Rašoma, kad Tuo metu, kai tiltas buvo pastatytas, vengrų aristokratai buvo atleisti nuo visų mokesčių. Tačiau pagal sutartį, norint pereiti tiltą, visi, įskaitant ir kilminguosius, turėjo mokėti rinkliavą. Antrojo pasaulinio karo metu, 1945 m., besitraukianti vokiečių karouomenė tiltą susprogdino. Liko tik bokštai. Po karo jis buvo atstatytas ir atidarytas 1949 m., minint 100-ąsias metines.
