Sandor Palace in Budapest
Über
The Sandor Palace is located in the Buda Castle and serves as the official residence of the Hungarian President. Built in 1806, the palace was intended for Count Sandor, who organized formal dinners and receptions in the beautiful building.
The two-story structure has relatively modest external decorations-reliefs on themes of ancient Greek myths. On the eastern side of the building, one can find a memorial plaque in honor of another count named Pala Teleki. The interior of the palace is filled with numerous crystal chandeliers, tapestries, and painted canvases. Entrance to the interior rooms is open only once a year, when the country celebrates its cultural heritage day.
