The Buda Castle Labyrinth is a network of halls and underground caves at a depth of 16 meters. This rather exotic attraction of Budapest is located right in the city center.

Researchers believe that the labyrinth has a natural origin. Over the centuries, its inhabitants have changed from ancient people, soldiers, and hermits, like gloves on the hands of a Hungarian high society lady, in the dark corridors of winding roads with low ceilings. The Buda Castle Labyrinth is open to tourists, and everyone is given a map at the entrance in case they get lost. By the way, the length of the passages here reaches one and a half kilometers, so one can wander in the dimly lit corridors for a long time.

One of the most beautiful halls I’ve ever been to. It’s such a shame that all of the beautiful halls were destroyed during ww2 and this one was created as a true replica of the original version.
