Nestled in the heart of Budapest, the Hungarian House of Photography - Mai Mano House beckons art and photography enthusiasts with its charming seven-story Art Nouveau architecture. Once the residence and studio of the artist Mai Mano, this beautiful building now showcases captivating photo exhibitions. Marvel at the works of Finnish photographer Maija Astikainen and Nabuyoshi Araki's "Sentimental Journey," among others.
Inside, you'll find historic photo equipment, a well-curated bookstore, and rooms adorned with art-nouveau decor, a magnificent wooden staircase, trompe-l'œil murals, and stained-glass windows. With a fair entrance fee of 2000 Forint, this attraction offers an enriching experience for anyone planning to spend 1-2 hours exploring the compelling world of photography. Rated 4.5 on Google, it's an art lover's haven you wouldn't want to miss.

The space open to the public is quite limited. The building interior decoration is interesting, but not rare. The entry price is €9 (HUF3,600) per person. This is a bit on the high side for such a place. Unless there is an exhibition on display which you are interested in, the price is not worth the visit to this building.

Americana exhibition was excellent
