At first glance, there seems to be no connection between the Hungarian Parliament building, a portrait of the famous Mozart, and a prickly cactus. However, upon a closer look, it's evident that all of them are made from marzipan, just like the rest of the exhibits at the museum in Budapest.

The Marzipan Museum is located in the Hilton Hotel building, directly opposite the Fisherman's Bastion, with its 140-meter wall. Today, it attracts hundreds of thousands of tourists annually, including many fans of sweets as well as those who appreciate a unique approach to history. The Marzipan Museum offers daily guided tours, during which visitors can see how the treat is made in a secret basement confectionery. The tour is followed by a compulsory tasting session and a visit to the shop, where edible souvenirs are sold.

Amazing little shop with a wide variety of Marzipan. This was the first time I had a marzipan and it was amazing. They have wide variety of pure marzipan with flavors and a lot with chocolates, but my favorites was the pure almond marzipan. Definitely a unique stop for me. Just wish I could order more online. Definitely a must go place if you stop in this cute little town.
