Egmont Palace is an ancient monument of history in Brussels, which over its existence, has been in several private hands. Today, the palace belongs to the state and is under its protection.

In the building, named after the leader of the Protestants who fought against the dominance of the Spanish Inquisition, is the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Nearly all the apartments are used for formal state receptions and closed meetings. Tourists can visit the evergreen park adjacent to the palace. It contains exactly 48 statuettes dedicated to the guilds of the Belgian capital, and at its very center stands a monument to Egmont and Hoorn.
