About

Shalom Park in Cork serves as a delightful gathering place, echoing a warm and inviting community spirit. It's a favorite among families, dog-walkers, and nature enthusiasts, with a stunning community garden that attracts an array of pollinators, adding splashes of color and vitality to the landscape. Children up to age 12 can enjoy the well-equipped playground, while adults can relax and maybe even swap a book or two at one of the informal community exchanges.

Every year, the park hosts a meaningful Hanukkah celebration organized by Cork City Council, honoring the legacy of the Jewish community that once thrived in Jewtown. The event features Maddie Leach's captivating art installation, "Evening Echo," where nine lamps illuminate the park during Hanukkah, creating a serene and magical atmosphere.

Situated close to the city center, Shalom Park is easily accessible and welcomes locals and visitors alike, offering a peaceful yet lively retreat.
