About
The Lough Trail in Cork offers a serene escape just minutes from the city center. This freshwater lake serves as both a tranquil bird sanctuary and a lively hub for family-friendly activities. Visitors can enjoy leisurely walks along well-kept paths or try their hand at fishing. Perfect for a relaxing afternoon, the trail features benches for taking in the view of swans, geese, and cormorants. Children will delight in sailing miniature boats or exploring the nearby playground. For a touch of local culture, don't miss the outdoor traditional Irish music sessions held each Wednesday in the summer months. Afterward, unwind at The Hawthorn pub or grab a bite at Alchemy cafe. Remember to bring along some green veggies to feed the birds - it's much healthier than bread! Accessible via a quick bus ride, The Lough Trail is a must-visit for nature lovers and families alike.

This is always a beautiful place to visit, go for a walk, grab a coffee at the 2 Cafe's nearby or just feed the ducks or go fishing, beautiful lake in the center of Cork City, well worth a visit

I have called and done everything by mail and I even made the appointment by mail and nobody gives me an answer and all that, I don't have time to go to Dublin, I live in Cork, I did this two years ago, but this has failed for me since last year, I am making an appointment and I don't see that it is failing for everyone because my friends who live here who are also making an appointment may not be able to make an appointment. I think it is broken, every time I make an appointment there are none, I wait a month because it tells me to wait for us and I wait for the next day, the first of the month and it doesn't work either. I am a little tired of waiting for this and since last year I have been making an appointment and this does not work at all, I was thinking of going to Dublin next week to speak with any worker because I call the place and nobody answers me and who answers me is Indian and I do not understand what he says or anything else, please, see if you can help those of us who live far from Dublin
