@pongo_trotasenderos: en realidad no tiene siete esquinas, sino siete lados. Tiene ocho esquinas, ocho vértices, es una torre ochavada. Lo que sucede es que los dos paños de la torre que forman la parte de la puerta tienen un ángulo muy abierto y hace que esta esquina no se aprecie bien. Es una torre vigía, construida por los árabes hacia el año 825, que protegía los caminos de las minas de cobre que se encuentran cerca. Domina todo el valle del guadalquivir, desde Córdoba a Medina Azahara
