A long overdue review for a place that left Lasting Impression of Danish Cuisine. Even after years have passed, my memory of dining at Almanak in Copenhagen is as vivid as ever. My culinary journey through Northern Europe led me to this stunning restaurant, and I was immediately struck by its elegant design and well-thought-out decor. From the meticulous table settings to the beautifully curated menu, every detail was perfect. The service was impeccable and a true highlight of the evening. The staff's ability to not only deliver each dish but also to passionately explain its preparation and ingredients added a layer of depth to the experience. Their positive energy and knowledge made the meal even more memorable. I opted for the three-course menu, which was a masterpiece of Danish flavours. The salt and sugar cured pike perch with beans and rapeseed oil was fresh and delicate. The main course, organic chicken with brown butter, carrot and elderflower, was a comforting and sophisticated dish. The dessert—black currant, salt caramel malt, and tarragon—was so incredible that it seemed to disappear the moment it was placed in front of me. The food was absolutely delicious, and I still commend the chefs for their masterful presentation of classic Danish cuisine. Even tho I missed a visit on my current trip, I am eagerly looking forward to returning to Almanak in the coming months, confident that the quality and integrity of their food remain just as exceptional as I remember.

Vi havde bestilt en early Bird til prisen var maden fin. Der er kun et vinkort, det kunne have været en hjælp også at have en kort med andre drikke, så tjeneren skal prøve at huske hvilke øl eller sodavand de har. Hvis det da lykkedes for dig at komme ind til den. Hvis man kommer uden for operaens åbningstid er det nærmest umuligt at finde ind. Alle døre er låst, der er kun et skilt til en cafe som var lukket. Man skal ringe til restauranten for at en medarbejder kommer løbende ned og henter en. Det ville spare alle tid og ressourcer hvis der blev kommunikeret ud at man skulle ringe og hvor man skulle stå henne for at komme ind. Udsigten er fin fra restauranten, men bedre fra balkonen.
