Højbro Plads — площа, створена після пожежі 1795 року, коли тут звільнилося місце для нової забудови. Її оточує архітектура в стилі класицизму. У центрі стоїть статуя єпископа Абсалона, засновника Копенгагена. Поруч центральна пішохідна вулиця,з іншої сторони - канали. Під площею, біля каналу, є легенда про підводне місто Агірсхалле, де живе морський цар. Це пов’язано з тим, що тут неподалік був старий порт, а вода відіграє важливу роль в історії міста.
